Laura LeMond is the owner and cofounder of Mosaic Weighted Blankets. Laura is a native Austinite and a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. After years of trying to identify a solution to calm her system, in 2010 she began to discuss with her girlfriends a way to help herself and others. Laura was born 8 weeks early, weighing 4 lbs and was given blood transfusions at birth, she is a fraternal twin. Her mother would put her to sleep in the crib with her twin sister and they would nestle up together before falling asleep. This is also called the womb sensation, which the weighted blanket provides for you by adding even pressure across the body.
